Job Summary

Lead the development and management of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) tender proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements, cost-effectiveness, and integration of designs into project proposals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tender requirements including documents, drawings, site surveys, and briefs to prepare comprehensive proposals
• Conduct site show-rounds, tender interviews, and meetings to gather project insights and clarify requirements
• Collaborate with internal project teams to integrate M&E designs into overall proposals effectively
• Develop detailed M&E designs and layouts aligned with project objectives and client needs
• Create cost proposals that reflect design intent and budget constraints
• Source, compare, and evaluate quotations to ensure quality and cost-efficiency of materials and services
• Propose value engineering solutions to optimize M&E designs for performance and cost savings
• Verify that tender submissions fully comply with client and consultant requirements and industry standards
• Ensure all proposals adhere to local authority regulations and compliance standards
• Negotiate and procure materials and services for awarded contracts to meet project timelines and budgets
• Prepare, submit, and discuss project cost variations with clients and consultants to manage budget changes
• Review and certify supplier and contractor claims to ensure accuracy and contract compliance
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management or direct supervisors to support company objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of relevant M&E experience

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge of safety standards and ability to apply safety practices in project execution
• Ability to liaise effectively with statutory authorities to secure necessary approvals
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage work pressure in a dynamic environment
