Job Summary
The M&E Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and managing all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works on construction projects. The role ensures that M&E installations are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise M&E installation works at project sites.
- Review M&E drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and submit method statements, shop drawings, material submissions, and work schedules.
- Attend site meetings and resolve technical and coordination issues.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on M&E works.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor project schedules and assist in project planning.
- Prepare progress reports and update project documentation.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of works.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in M&E construction projects.
- Knowledge of M&E systems, construction practices, and Singapore regulations.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Willing to work at project sites when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial, industrial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of BCA, SCDF, PUB, EMA, and other relevant authority requirements.
- Experience in testing and commissioning of M&E systems.
