We at Verdantas, looking for M&A Messaging and Collaboration Practice Lead to join our team.

This role provides strategic, technical, and operational leadership for all messaging, identity, collaboration, and unified communications, and endpoint onboarding integration activities associated with mergers and acquisitions. This role owns the end‑to‑end M&A Messaging and Collaboration practice, including target‑state architecture, governance, execution models, staffing, and delivery outcomes.

The Practice Lead ensures acquired organizations are securely and efficiently integrated into enterprise messaging, identity, collaboration, and endpoint management platforms while minimizing business disruption, managing risk, and maintaining alignment with enterprise security, compliance, and operational standards. This role serves as the primary escalation point, decision authority, and executive liaison for M&A messaging, collaboration, and endpoint integration initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the M&A Messaging, Collaboration, and Endpoint integration strategy, including identity, messaging, collaboration, unified communications, and workstation onboarding domains.
  • Define and maintain enterprise target‑state architectures, governance standards, and integration patterns for M&A scenarios, including domain‑joined, hybrid‑joined, and Entra ID–joined endpoint models.
  • Lead discovery, readiness assessment, and risk evaluation for acquired environments across identity, collaboration, and endpoint platforms, translating findings into executable integration and migration strategies.
  • Establish and enforce cutover, coexistence, rollback, and stabilization frameworks to ensure business continuity during user, data, and endpoint transitions.
  • Provide architectural and operational oversight for endpoint migration activities, including:
  • Migration of user workstations from legacy domains or unmanaged states to enterprise‑standard domain‑joined, hybrid‑joined, or Entra ID–joined configurations.
  • Enrollment of acquired endpoints into the enterprise Intune tenant, including policy application, compliance enforcement, and lifecycle management.
  • Standardized use of Windows Autopilot for reprovisioning, reset, or replacement of acquired devices where required.
  • Define and enforce endpoint onboarding standards for security, management, and operational tooling.
  • Supervise and provide technical leadership to M&A integrations team.
  • Set execution standards for wave planning, batching, device readiness validation, user migration sequencing, delta synchronization, and post‑integration cleanup across messaging, collaboration, and endpoint domains.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical, security, endpoint, and business issues during M&A transitions.
  • Partner closely with Security, Endpoint, Infrastructure, Legal, and Business stakeholders to align integration execution with deal timelines, risk tolerance, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure alignment between identity, access, messaging, collaboration, and endpoint onboarding strategies across acquired entities.
  • Oversee development and use of PowerShell automation, tooling, and runbooks to enable repeatable, scalable M&A execution across user, data, and device migrations.
  • Review and approve architecture designs, migration approaches, exception handling decisions, and deviation requests related to messaging, collaboration, identity, and endpoint integration.
  • Own integration success metrics, including data completeness, endpoint compliance posture, security coverage, operational stability, and user impact.
  • Deliver executive‑level summaries, risk assessments, timelines, and post‑integration outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement of M&A integration processes, standards, and documentation based on lessons learned.

Skills:

Technical Proficiency:

  • Enterprise messaging and collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive); Entra ID and Active Directory integration patterns; domain, hybrid, and Entra ID–joined endpoint architectures; Intune and Windows Autopilot; Microsoft Defender for Endpoint; identity and access governance; tenant‑to‑tenant migrations; coexistence models; and unified communications architecture.

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Practice ownership, technical decision authority, team leadership, prioritization, and delivery accountability across concurrent M&A initiatives spanning identity, collaboration, and endpoint onboarding.

Analytical:

  • Risk‑based decision making, readiness assessment interpretation, dependency analysis across users, data, and devices, and post‑integration validation metrics.

Communication:

  • Executive‑level reporting, architectural decision documentation, stakeholder alignment, escalation management, and change narratives.

Problem Solving & Detail:

  • Resolution of complex cross‑platform integration challenges; enforcement of standards, security controls, and documentation discipline in high‑risk, time‑sensitive environments.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent relevant experience
  • 8–10+ years of experience supporting enterprise messaging, identity, and collaboration platforms
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in M&A, tenant‑to‑tenant migrations, endpoint modernization, or large‑scale enterprise integrations
  • Prior experience leading technical architects, engineers, or integration teams strongly preferred
