Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Upwork Specialist / IT Business Development Manager who can independently generate leads, manage client communication, and close deals through Upwork and other online B2B platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of IT services, excellent bidding strategies, and the ability to convert prospects into long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Upwork & Online Bidding

  • Manage and optimize the company's Upwork profile to increase visibility and win ratio.
  • Write effective proposals for Web, Mobile, SaaS, and Custom Software development projects.
  • Conduct daily bidding on relevant job postings with high conversion potential.
  • Understand client requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions in proposals

2. Lead Generation & Client Acquisition

  • Generate high-quality leads from Upwork and other freelancing portals.
  • Analyze project requirements and communicate effectively to qualify leads.
  • Coordinate with the technical team for project estimations and SOW (Scope of Work).
  • Negotiate project terms, pricing, and timelines to successfully close deals.

3. Client Communication & Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong communication with international clients via Upwork, email, and calls.
  • Conduct video meetings and presentations to understand requirements and pitch services.
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships for repeat business.

4. Market & Competitor Research

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and client expectations.
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategies to enhance conversions.

5. Reporting & Target Achievement

  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly sales and bidding reports.
  • Achieve set targets for lead generation, proposal submissions, and successful deal closures.
  • Work closely with sales and technical teams to ensure smooth project onboarding.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as an Upwork Specialist / BDM in the international IT services market.
  • Strong understanding of IT software development services (Web, Mobile, Custom Solutions).
  • Excellent written & spoken English communication.
  • Proven track record in winning projects on Upwork and other platforms.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, sales pipelines, and proposal management.
