About the ProjectWe are working on a language technology initiative aimed at improving AI understanding of the Konkani language. As part of this project, we are looking for fluent Konkani speakers to participate in a short voice data collection task.
Role & Responsibilities- Record three separate conversational audio sessions in Konkani with a partner (friend or family member).
- Each conversation must be 15 minutes long.
- Conversations should be natural and unscripted, focusing on everyday topics such as:
- Food
- Travel
- Festivals
- Work life
- Childhood memories
- Topics related to politics or religion are not permitted.
Requirements- Fluency in Konkani (spoken proficiency required).
- Ability to arrange a second fluent Konkani speaker to participate.
- Access to a quiet, noise-free environment for recording.
- Ability to use a mobile app or laptop/PC for audio recording.
- Reliable internet connection.
Time Commitment- Approximately 45 minutes total recording time.
