Job Title: Purchasing Manager (Cosmetics & Nutraceuticals)

We are seeking a high-caliber Purchasing Manager with deep expertise in the beauty and wellness industry to join our team. This role is critical in managing our global supply chain, focusing on high-quality ingredient sourcing and innovative packaging solutions for our skincare, haircare, and nutraceutical lines.

This is a remote-first position based in India, requiring strict alignment with US East Coast business hours.

Position Overview

* Location: Remote (India)

* Working Hours: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM EST (Night shift in India)

* Experience Required: 10+ Years

* Contract Terms: Initial 1-month probationary contract to demonstrate value; transitions to a permanent role based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

* Strategic Sourcing: Identify and vet global suppliers for raw ingredients (actives, botanicals, surfactants) and specialized packaging (primary, secondary, and sustainable options).

* Cost Management: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and lead times to ensure maximum ROI without compromising product efficacy or safety.

* Inventory Optimization: Forecast demand and manage stock levels to prevent stockouts while minimizing capital tied up in excess inventory.

* Quality Assurance: Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to ensure all materials meet international regulatory standards (FDA, EU, etc.) and brand specifications.

* Vendor Relations: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with manufacturers and distributors to ensure priority service and early access to new innovations.

Required Qualifications

* Industry Expertise: A minimum of 10 years of experience specifically in purchasing for cosmetics, skincare, hair care, and/or nutraceuticals.

* Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of ingredient COAs (Certificates of Analysis), MSDS, and the nuances of sustainable packaging materials.

* Communication: Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal), capable of negotiating with international vendors.

* Operational Discipline: Proven ability to work independently during US business hours and manage complex spreadsheets/ERP systems.

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM or CIPS) are a plus
