Description
We are seeking a motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Chennai, Bengaluru, or Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. This role is suitable for candidates with 0-2 years of experience in a desktop support environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop operating systems and applications.
- Maintain and manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of workstations, printers, and other peripherals.
- Document and track issues using helpdesk software.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users on software and hardware usage.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on desktop systems.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in desktop support or a related technical role.
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and macOS.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common desktop applications.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
