Looker Developer

Description

We are seeking a skilled Looker Developer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and optimizing Looker data models and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize Looker models, explores, and dashboards to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data integrity and accessibility in Looker.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Looker reports.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Looker functionalities and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Looker data visualizations and reporting.
• Maintain documentation of Looker configurations and processes.

Skills and Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in Looker development or related BI tools.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database systems such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
• Deep understanding of LookML and experience building Looker data models.
• Experience with data visualization best practices and techniques.
• Ability to write complex queries and performance-tune them for optimal results.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
