Mandatory Sklls – Linux , Clusters & GPFS
Skills and requirements:
Linux Server & Cluster Management
- Strong expertise in RHEL, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, and SUSE (SLES) environments
- Hands-on experience managing GPFS and Pacemaker clusters for high availability
- Proficient in Linux networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewall configuration & troubleshooting)
- Experience with VMware vSphere, managing virtualized and physical servers (HP/Dell/IBM)
- Skilled in Linux storage management (LVM, XFS, NFS, NAS)
Automation & Scripting
- Proficient in Ansible (Playbooks, Tower, AWX) for large-scale automation
- Strong scripting skills in Bash (and basic Python) for system automation and cron jobs
Disaster Recovery & Zerto
- Experience designing and implementing DR strategies, backup & restore processes
- Hands-on expertise with Zerto (ZVM, ZCA) for business continuity solutions
CI/CD & Cloud
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
- Strong knowledge of AWS & Azure (EC2, S3, VPC, Azure VMs, Blob Storage)
Identity & Access Management
- Expertise in Centrify and LDAP integration for authentication/authorization
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite for patching and lifecycle management
Security & Compliance
- Hands-on experience in SOX audits, including access control, change management, and monitoring
- Proven track record ensuring regulatory compliance in Linux environments
Agile & Collaboration
- Experience working in Agile environments (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Strong team collaboration and stakeholder communication skills
Documentation & Leadership
- Proficient in creating SOPs and technical documentation
- Experience mentoring junior team members and conducting knowledge transfer sessions
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux infrastructure ensuring performance, security, and availability
- Develop automation solutions (Ansible & scripting)
- Administer GPFS/Pacemaker clusters and VMware environments
- Implement DR strategies using Zerto
- Manage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
- Support identity management (Centrify, LDAP) and system patching (Satellite)
- Provide 24x7 support and act as escalation point
- Lead Agile delivery and ensure timely execution
- Manage storage (NFS/NAS) and network configurations (VLANs)
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- 8–12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Certifications: RHCE, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
