The Opportunity
We are looking for a Sr. Logistics & Warehouse Manager (57 years experience) to drive excellence across:
- Warehouse management & inventory management/optimization
- Logistics & transportation operations
- Vendor & 3PL partnerships
- Compliance & regulatory readiness (India)
- Team leadership & process improvement
You'll work closely with the leadership team and have high visibility across the organization.
What You'll Do
Strategic Planning & Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive logistics and warehouse strategy aligned with the company's growth goals and market dynamics in India.
- Oversee the entire logistics lifecycle: procurement, inbound freight, warehousing, order fulfilment, last-mile delivery.
- Optimize warehouse operations: receiving, storage, inventory management, picking, packing, dispatch.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets with a focus on cost efficiency.
Warehouse & Inventory Operations
- Shortlist and select the right warehousing partner as per company's goals and category.
- Work with the warehousing partner to design SOPs to ensure an optimised order-to-dispatch-ready timeline, and ensure space utilisation.
- Implement robust inventory management systems; lead cycle counts and stock audits.
- Maintain high safety and security standards for inventory in line with Indian regulations.
- Ownership of the OMS/WMS to ensure timely data integrity, process settings and automations where needed.
- Ownership of inventory transfer and related SLAs to marketplace warehouses and oversee the inward process of marketplaces.
- Closely follow marketplace SOPs and suggest changes as per brand requirements.
Logistics & Transportation
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with 3PL providers and transporters.
- Responsible for automated shipper allocation and optimization of workflows.
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipping to ensure timely delivery.
- Stay current on transportation regulations across India (GST, E-Way Bill, state-specific requirements).
- Responsible for SOPs for NDR and related RTOs.
- Continuously seek opportunities to shorten delivery times using dark stores or other relevant but innovative opportunities
- Accountable for CSAT on deliveries by partners.
- Closely follow marketplace SOPs and suggest changes as per brand requirements.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with national and local regulations.
- Aging analysis of inventory to ensure automation for stock replenishment.
- Leverage WMS and logistics software to track KPIs: on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory turnover, cost per shipment, CSAT of deliveries.
- Provide performance reports to senior management and drive insights for further cost savings and optimization.
