Role Objective:
The Logistics Systems Architect is a strategic architect of scalable, AI-powered logistics
frameworks, optimizing routes with advanced ML, driving productivity via real-time analytics, and
maximizing resources through predictive modeling - all grounded in realities like traffic flux and
regulations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mitigate risks via simulations, and
own KPIs to deliver hyper-efficient logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
-->Logistics Systems Architect
- Architect end-to-end logistics operations, designing scalable frameworks for route optimization using advanced AI/ML (e.g., reinforcement learning for dynamic routing via TensorFlow/PyTorch) to optimize resources and adapt to real-time disruptions.
- Pioneer resource utilization strategies with predictive analytics—modeling multi-variable scenarios (demand surges, fuel hedging) using optimization solvers like Gurobi or CPLEX for 95%+ asset efficiency.
- Champion tech integration as the central hub: lead API ecosystems linking TMS/ERP/IoT platforms, automate decision workflows (e.g., RPA for dispatch), and pioneer GenAI for anomaly detection in supply chains.
- Embed ground realities into architecture—lead war-room simulations for edge cases (e.g., festive peaks, port strikes), forge vendor ecosystems, and iterate designs based on driver feedback and hyper-local data (traffic APIs, weather models)
- Strategically mitigate risks: develop probabilistic models for disruptions (Monte Carlo simulations), ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., GST/e-way bill automation), and architect contingency blueprints.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and C-suite to roadmap 3-5 year ops evolution; mentor teams and evangelize data-driven culture.
-->Operational Oversight
- Lead and oversee Pan-India last-mile logistics operations from the central office.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve delivery performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across all logistics hubs and delivery networks.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Drive cost-reduction programs while maintaining service quality and operational compliance.
-->Route Optimization & Network Efficiency
- Drive route optimization initiatives to improve delivery productivity, reduce transit time, and lower transportation costs.
- Analyze delivery patterns, demand fluctuations, and geographic constraints to enhance network performance.
- Collaborate with technology and operations teams to implement routing and planning tools.
-->Vehicle Allocation & Fleet Utilization
- Develop and manage optimized vehicle allocation strategies across hubs and regions.
- Monitor fleet utilization, capacity planning, and vehicle productivity metrics.
- Identify opportunities to reduce idle capacity and improve asset efficiency.
-->Manpower Planning & Productivity
- Lead workforce planning initiatives to ensure optimal staffing levels across logistics hubs.
- Forecast manpower requirements based on business volumes, seasonal demand, and operational trends.
- Drive productivity improvement programs and resource optimization initiatives.
- Orchestrate productivity transformations across fleets, warehouses, and last-mile networks; build centralized dashboards (e.g., integrating Kafka for real-time streams into Grafana) to unify metrics and drive cross-team accountability.
-->Performance Management & Analytics
- Establish and monitor key operational KPIs including: Delivery SLA adherence, Vehicle utilization, Route efficiency, Hub productivity, Cost per shipment, and Manpower productivity.
- Prepare and present periodic MIS reports and operational dashboards to leadership.
- Leverage analytics to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Utilize data-driven insights to improve turnaround times, delivery success rates, and hub efficiency.
