We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our logistics operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods throughout the supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and retailers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Negotiate contracts with transportation and logistics service providers.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations regarding logistics operations.
- Lead and train logistics team members to achieve departmental goals.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8-13 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management roles.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and logistics management software.
- Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
