Key Responsibilities:
The role involves leading warehousing and outbound shipping performance end-to-end, while building a robust distribution planning rhythm as we scale channels and volumes. This is a high-ownership role - leading for commercials, partner performance, and key cost metrics.
1) Warehouse (3PL) performance & relationship management
- Own 3PL warehouse SLAs: inbound putaway, pick-pack accuracy, dispatch TAT, returns processing, shrinkage control.
- Run weekly/monthly performance reviews, root-cause analysis, and improvement plans.
- Improve SOPs, audit readiness, and exception handling to reduce customer-impacting errors.
2) Courier partner performance management
- Own courier selection, onboarding, and daily performance tracking (pickup adherence, delivery TAT, NDR/RTO %, damage/loss, reverse logistics).
- Build a structured escalation and governance mechanism with partners to maintain service quality at scale.
3) Distribution & stock movement planning
- Plan and execute stock movement across nodes/channels (e.g., primary warehouse secondary locations/marketplaces/dark stores as applicable).
- Maintain inventory health through replenishment planning, safety stock logic, lead-time management, and visibility reporting.
- Partner closely with demand/commercial teams to align inventory availability with growth plans.
4) Commercials & P&L ownership
- Own rate cards/contracts and negotiate commercials as volumes scale (forward, reverse, COD, volumetric, surcharges).
- Track logistics + warehousing costs vs targets; identify levers to improve unit economics without compromising customer experience.
5) Systems & reporting (Unicommerce + Excel)
- Own day-to-day operations on Unicommerce: order flow, shipping rules, courier allocation logic, tracking hygiene, exception queues.
- Build strong Excel-based reporting (pivots, advanced formulas, dashboards; Power Query a plus) for cost, SLA, and inventory movement insights.
Good to have:
- 48 years in warehouse operations + courier management (D2C/ecom/retail supply chain).
- Strong experience managing 3PL warehouses and courier partners with measurable SLA outcomes.
- Hands-on working knowledge of Unicommerce (required).
- Advanced Excel skills (required): pivots, lookups, IF logic, reconciliation, dashboards; Power Query/VBA is a plus.
- Comfortable owning commercial negotiations and being accountable to cost and service targets.
- Structured, calm under pressure, and able to work cross-functionally.
- Exposure to Q-commerce / hyperlocal operations (tight cut-offs, dark store replenishment, high SLA pressure).
- Experience in Beauty & Personal Care (fragile/liquid SKUs, returns hygiene, batch/expiry awareness, compliance mindset).
