JOB TITLE: LOGISTICS HEAD [D2C]

ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Head of Logistics to lead and manage end-to-end logistics operations for our Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) business. This role will be responsible for building scalable fulfillment operations, ensuring operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement across order fulfillment, last-mile delivery, returns, and system integrity.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience managing logistics operations for a D2C brand operating on Shopify, along with proven leadership capabilities and a data-driven approach to performance management.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS [NON-NEGOTIABLE]
- 47 years of experience in logistics and operations within a D2C e-commerce environment
- Direct, hands-on experience with Shopify backend operations, including:
- Order management
- Fulfillment workflows
- App usage and third-party integrations
- Proven experience leading and managing logistics and warehouse teams
- Strong operational understanding of:
- Last-mile delivery operations
- RTO reduction strategies
- NDR management processes
- COD workflows and controls
- Prior experience working with multiple courier partners, including
- Delhivery, Bluedart, Ecom Express, Xpressbees, or similar
- Based in Gurgaon or willing to work on-site
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
- Own and manage end-to-end order fulfillment operations
- (order processing, dispatch, delivery, returns, and RTO handling)
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve logistics SOPs to support scale and efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of logistics, warehouse, and operations teams
- Drive improvements in delivery timelines, cost efficiency, and RTO percentage
- Manage relationships and performance reviews with courier and logistics partners
- Collaborate closely with warehouse, customer support, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution
- Monitor daily operational dashboards, MIS reports, and exception cases on Shopify and courier platforms
- Ensure system and data integrity, including:
- Inventory accuracy
- Order and fulfillment sync
- Courier integrations
- Fulfillment accuracy and compliance
- Plan and execute logistics readiness for high-volume sales periods, launches, and campaigns
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS [GOOD TO HAVE]
- Experience working with 3PL providers and WMS platforms integrated with Shopify
- Exposure to managing logistics during high-order-volume events (sales, product drops, festive campaigns)
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to logistics KPIs and performance metrics
- Experience scaling logistics operations in a high-growth D2C environment
