Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Fulfilment Management
- Lead end-to-end order fulfilment from confirmation to final delivery.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient delivery across all customer locations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Supply teams to plan dispatch schedules.
- Monitor order lifecycle and proactively resolve fulfilment bottlenecks.
2. Logistics & Transportation Management
- Design and optimise the transportation network for efficient material movement.
- Oversee dispatch planning, route optimisation, and fleet utilisation.
- Ensure transporter availability for seamless regional deliveries.
- Track and control freight costs, transit timelines, and delivery performance.
- Implement systems for real-time shipment tracking and logistics visibility.
3. Logistics Contract & Vendor Management
- Develop and manage contracts with transporters and logistics service providers.
- Negotiate freight rates, SLAs, and commercial terms to ensure cost efficiency.
- Evaluate, onboard, and manage logistics vendors and fleet partners.
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and compliance requirements.
- Drive continuous cost optimisation through strategic vendor management.
4. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure dispatch readiness and stock availability.
- Facilitate optimal inventory movement across locations.
- Align fulfilment planning with demand forecasts and inventory levels.
5. Operational Planning
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch plans aligned with demand.
- Plan transportation capacity and logistics infrastructure requirements.
- Implement contingency strategies for peak demand and seasonal disruptions (e.g., monsoon).
6. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and analyse key KPIs, including:
- On-Time Delivery (OTD)
- Logistics Cost per Ton
- Transit Time Reliability
- Dispatch Accuracy
- Transport Utilisation
- Create dashboards and reports for leadership review and decision-making.
7. Process Improvement & Digitisation
- Drive implementation of logistics and fulfilment technology platforms.
- Identify opportunities for route optimisation, freight consolidation, and cost reduction.
- Standardise fulfilment processes across all operating locations.
8. Risk & Compliance Management
- Ensure adherence to transport regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
- Mitigate risks related to delays, damages, and delivery failures.
- Develop contingency plans for disruptions such as weather, strikes, or infrastructure issues.
