About Maxima Apparel

Maxima Apparel Corp is a leading global sportswear and licensed apparel collective, known for delivering high-quality men's, women's and children apparel, outerwear, and headwear with speed, value, and exceptional customer service. Home to prestigious brands—including Pro Standard—we operate as a fast, agile manufacturer and design house serving some of the best names in the industry.

As we continue to grow our portfolio of brands and licenses, we are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to help drive execution excellence across our global production platform, with a particular focus on coordination with our NY, Mexico and China based teams.

Role Summary

As a Logistics Coordinator at Maxima Apparel, you will own the destination-side execution of our inbound global shipments and U.S. domestic moves. From arrival at the U.S. gateway through final delivery, you will partner with customs brokers, U.S. trucking carriers, destination warehouses, origin coordinators, and internal teams to clear freight, move it inland, and land it on time at our DCs and customer locations. You will report directly to the Director of Global Logistics.

Inbound Shipment Coordination & Exception Management

  • Coordinate inbound international and U.S. domestic shipments from origin handoff through proof of delivery.
  • Monitor in-transit status; triage exceptions, holds, and delays at the destination gateway and inland.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Director of Global Logistics within agreed service windows.

Customs Clearance & Documentation

  • Partner with customs brokers to clear inbound freight at U.S. ports and airports.
  • Review and approve destination shipping documents, including HAWB/AWB, Commercial Invoice, and Packing List.
  • Issue the weekly customs hold report to the operations distribution list.
  • Monitor terminal pickup against last free day to prevent demurrage and detention.

U.S. Domestic Trucking

  • Arrange U.S. domestic trucking, including port drayage, transload, FTL, LTL, and final-mile moves.
  • Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with destination warehouses, DC inbound teams, and customers.
  • Track domestic shipments through transit, monitor accessorial charges, and resolve delivery exceptions.

Destination Carrier & Broker Coordination

  • Serve as the daily contact for customs brokers, truckload carriers, parcel carriers, and destination service providers.
  • Conduct root-cause outreach with carriers and brokers on service failures and share findings with the Logistics Analyst for the vendor scorecard.
  • Confirm awarded carriers in the TMS after Director-level carrier awards and ensure destination milestones are loaded.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with origin coordinators on shipment handoff, documentation readiness, and ETA alignment.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, and DC inbound teams on receiving readiness and delivery expectations.
  • Provide operational coverage for the Logistics Analyst during planned absences.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5 years of destination-side logistics experience, ideally in apparel, retail, wholesale, or 3PL / freight forwarding environments, with exposure to U.S. customs clearance and U.S. domestic trucking.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. customs processes, broker workflows, and Incoterms.
  • Hands-on experience with a TMS (Odoo TMS preferred), carrier portals, and tracking platforms.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage brokers, carriers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders under operational pressure.
  • Calm-under-fire temperament with a service mindset.
  • Proficiency in Excel for exception tracking and operational reporting.
  • Willingness to work India night shift aligned with U.S. (New York) business hours, as this role supports destination operations in the U.S. in real time.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, India night shift aligned with U.S. (New York) business hours.
