LogicMonitor Administrator

• Full administration of LogicMonitor in a multi-tenant MSP environment
• Design and configuration of all LM module types — DataSources, EventSources, PropertySources, ConfigSources, Topologies, and Dashboards
• Custom collector and script development using PowerShell, Python, and Bash — extending LM beyond native capabilities
• REST API automation for resource onboarding, dynamic property management, and reporting
• Alert architecture — thresholds, escalation chains, anomaly tuning, and suppression rules that reduce noise and improve signal
• Device tree structure, group management, and RBAC across multiple client tenants
• ITSM integrations (ServiceNow, PagerDuty, or similar) via LM alert routing
• Monitoring runbooks, health checks, and technical documentation

Must-Have

• 1–2 years of hands-on LogicMonitor experience — production, not just exposure
• 6+ years overall in infrastructure/application monitoring across platforms such as Datadog, ScienceLogic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, SolarWinds, or New Relic
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, and Bash — specifically for writing LM custom collectors and API-based automation
• Working knowledge of Azure and AWS infrastructure and their integration with LM monitoring
• Solid grasp of monitoring protocols: SNMP, WMI, REST APIs, JMX, log ingestion, NetFlow

Good Communication

• Comfortable translating technical monitoring requirements into LM configurations
• Able to articulate monitoring gaps, recommendations, and configurations clearly to delivery and operations teams

• LogicMonitor Certified Professional — preferred
• Certification in any major monitoring platform (Datadog, Dynatrace, ScienceLogic, etc.)
• Prior MSP experience managing multi-tenant LM deployments
• Cloud certifications (Azure / AWS)
• ITIL awareness — Incident and Problem Management context
