As a Loan Processor, you will manage the end-to-end loan application process from submission through settlement, supporting multiple mortgage brokers while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and an exceptional client experience. The Qualifications We Seek

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Loan Processor, Loan Writer, or similar role in Australian mortgage broking
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian residential lending (home loans, refinances, and investment properties)
  • Experience with major Australian lenders (CBA, Westpac, ANZ, and NAB) and their credit policies
  • Understanding of Australian credit legislation and responsible lending obligations
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Proficiency with:

  • Finsure Broker Platform (or similar aggregator platforms)
  • Apply Online and other lender portals
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • CRM systems (HubSpot or similar)

Personal Attributes

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Process-driven with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues before they become problems
  • Client-focused with professional communication skills
  • Adaptable to changing lender policies and business requirements
  • Mission-aligned with the goal of ending human trafficking

Desirable (But Not Required)

  • Previous offshore or remote work experience supporting Australian businesses
  • Experience supporting multiple brokers or working in a high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of commercial lending, SMSF lending, or construction loans
  • Familiarity with complex self-employed applications, including an understanding of Australian company and trust tax returns, PAYG summaries, and financial statements
  • Experience with RP Data, bank statement analysis tools, or serviceability calculators

Your Daily Tasks

Loan Application Processing (70%)

  • Prepare and submit loan applications to lenders via Apply Online and Infynity
  • Complete comprehensive fact finds via an online platform and gather all required documentation
  • Understand credit assessments and analyze client financial positions
  • Prepare loan scenario comparisons, pricing, and valuations
  • Liaise with lenders regarding application status, conditions, and requirements
  • Track applications through application, conditional approval, formal approval, and settlement stages
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met, including ID verification, privacy requirements, and credit checks

Documentation & Compliance (20%)

  • Request, collect, and verify supporting documents (payslips, tax returns, bank statements, and more)
  • Ensure all documents meet lender requirements and serviceability criteria
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system (Finsure platform)
  • Prepare settlement documents and coordinate with solicitors and conveyancers
  • Manage document checklists and ensure nothing is missed
  • Stay current with lender policy changes and credit criteria

Communication & Coordination (10%)

  • Communicate with clients regarding document requirements and application progress
  • Coordinate with real estate agents, solicitors, valuers, and other third parties
  • Provide regular status updates to brokers
  • Handle routine client inquiries and requests
  • Escalate complex issues or client concerns to brokers appropriately
