Job Title: Senior Loan Processor
Job Summary
The Senior Loan Processor is responsible for managing the loan processing workflow, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional service to clients and loan officers. This role involves reviewing loan applications, verifying documentation, and coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate timely loan closings.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
Verify borrower information and creditworthiness through various sources
Communicate with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to gather necessary information and resolve issues
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations throughout the loan process
Prepare and submit loan files to underwriting for approval
Monitor loan status and provide updates to clients and stakeholders
Assist in training and mentoring junior loan processors
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies
Should have hands on experience in processing all loan products
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage processing or a related role
Thorough understanding of mortgage products, processes, and regulations
Should have hands on experience in Encompass
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
Skills
NMLS license preferred but not required
In-depth knowledge of mortgage processing and underwriting guidelines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong customer service orientation
