Job Description

About LoadShare

LoadShare is one of Indias most innovative and resilient logistics platforms, transforming how goods move across the country. Founded in 2017, weve grown into a pan-India, multi-category last-mile network with a unique presence in both Tier 1 metros and deep Tier 2/3 towns.

What Sets Us Apart

  • Scale with depth: 550K deliveries/day across food, e-commerce (B2C), B2B retail, and digital commerce, powered by a 30,000+ rider network.
  • Strong financials, stronger ambition: 800+ Cr in FY26 revenue and backing from global investors (Tiger Global, Matrix, BII, Stellaris, BeeNext), with a long runway and a clear path to profitability.
  • Dual-engine model: we operate Indias most flexible last-mile delivery network and license our in-house logistics tech platform that processes an additional 20 lakh orders/day one of the few in India to enable asset cross-utilisation across verticals.
  • Strong tech: we cross-utilise riders across earning opportunities that match the peaks of different use-cases through the day (grocery peaks at 68 am, bike taxi at 810 am, and so on). Our supply-chain SaaS platforms power over 1M+ shipments per day.
  • Strategic partner to Indias digital economy: we work with every major digital commerce player across e-comm, quick commerce, food, and mobility, expanding wallet share within existing giants while co-creating new models with emerging platforms and brands.
  • Built to scale profitably: were not chasing GMV at all costs were building the most capital-efficient, tech-enabled logistics engine in the country, now gearing up for a 5X scale-up over the next five Raghu Talluri (CEO) formerly Myntra, McKinsey
  • Pramod Nair (CTO) formerly Freecharge, Snapdeal, MartMobi
  • Rakib Ahmed (Co-founder, Head of E-comm / Trucking / Warehousing) formerly ICICI Prudential, co-founder Lunate Eco

About The Role

We are looking for a business leader to own the Marketplace vertical within Hyperlocal end-to-end the Food and integrated hyperlocal business, run as a lean, high-ownership P&L. This is not a single-city operations seat. It is a general-manager role at the intersection of operations, supply, product, and client management: you will own the numbers, lead the city heads who run food and integrated operations across multiple cities, work hand-in-glove with our Product team to build the capabilities the business needs, and act as the commercial and operational interface to our Food clients.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Marketplace Business & P&L:
  • Own the end-to-end P&L for the Marketplace (Food + integrated hyperlocal) vertical across cities.
  • Drive revenue, contribution margin, and cost-per-order in a lean operating structure.
  • Be the single point of accountability for business performance, service levels, and client experience.
  • Client & Commercial Management:
  • Own the relationship with Food clients commercials, QBRs, SLA governance, escalations, and wallet-share expansion.
  • Lead commercial negotiations (rate cards, handling fees, new-scope pricing) and reconcile revenue and payouts with client and finance teams.
  • Rider Supply & Fleet Operations:
  • As a 3PL serving client demand through our own riders, own the health of the rider and fleet ecosystem across marketplace cities so demand is met reliably and profitably.
  • Drive rider acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention to keep supply ahead of client demand including during peaks and festive surges.
  • Build and manage reliable fleet-partner and vendor ecosystems; ensure consistent coverage and service quality across cities.
  • Improve rider productivity and utilisation orders per rider, batching, route efficiency, idle time and manage rider cost and payout structures.
  • Reduce rider attrition through better earnings design, engagement, and on-ground experience; partner with Supply and KAM teams on incentive and scheme design.
  • Standardise supply onboarding playbooks and best practices across the network.
  • Product Partnership:
  • Work closely with Product and Tech to scope, prioritise, and ship the capabilities the business needs (rider tooling, store/topology features, surge and scheme logic, reconciliation, compliance flows).
  • Translate on-ground problems and client asks into clear product requirements; act as the business owner in build and launch decisions.
  • Drive adoption of new features across city teams and measure impact.
  • City Operations & Team Leadership:
  • Lead and develop the City Heads who run food and integrated hyperlocal operations in their markets.
  • Set targets across service, cost, and scale; run a tight review and RCA cadence.
  • Build leadership depth and succession across the distributed team.
  • Scale, Launches & Expansion:
  • Drive new store, micro-market, and city launches.
  • Standardise launch playbooks, staffing models, and SOPs; ensure peak and festive readiness.
  • Operational Excellence & Compliance:
  • Own key KPIs: OPD/order volume, SLA/TAT, cancellations, fill rate, rider productivity and availability, attrition.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-led problem-solving.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety, and regulatory/compliance requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management:
  • Partner with Finance on payouts, reconciliation, and margin tracking.
  • Work across Business, Product, Tech, Supply, and Client stakeholders to turn business goals into on-ground execution.

Experience & Background

  • 610 years in hyperlocal, quick commerce, food delivery, e-commerce, mobility, or last-mile logistics.
  • Proven ownership of a business line or multi-city operation with P&L responsibility (multi-city / 1L+ daily volume preferred).
  • Strong track record building and scaling rider/fleet supply acquisition, retention, productivity, and cost to meet client demand.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with Product/Tech to build and ship capabilities not just consume them.
  • Strong client and commercial management track record (negotiations, QBRs, SLA governance).
  • Exposure to 3P logistics, fleet vendors, and ground operations.
  • Experience in high-growth, high-intensity, ambiguous environments.
