Job Description: Area Sales Manager - Retail Secured Business
Location: Warangal
Role Type: Team Management + Channel (DSA) Management
Business Unit: Retail Secured Loans (e.g., LAP / Mortgage / Secured Business Loans)
Role Summary
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) - Retail Secured Loans is responsible for driving business volumes, managing a team of Sales Managers/Executives, and developing strong DSA relationships to ensure highquality sourcing. The role demands deep knowledge of secured lending, strong market understanding, and the ability to drive consistent growth within the Warangal region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets for secured lending products (LAP, MSME secured loans, mortgage loans).
- Drive business generation through DSAs, connectors, builders, and local market networks.
- Develop area-specific sales strategies to increase market penetration.
- Conduct regular market visits to identify new business opportunities.
2. Team Management
- Manage a team of frontline sales managers/executives.
- Ensure daily productivity through field coaching, target setting, and performance reviews.
- Track funnel activity (login-sanction-disbursement).
- Train team members on product features, documentation, policies, and system compliance.
3. DSA/Channel Handling
- Identify, onboard, and activate new DSAs across Warangal and nearby regions.
- Maintain strong relationships with all channel partners to ensure consistent lead flow.
- Monitor DSA adherence to credit policies, KYC norms, documentation quality, and TAT.
- Conduct periodic engagement and motivation activities.
4. Credit, Risk & Operations Coordination
- Work closely with credit managers for file assessments, site visits, valuation, and legal checks.
- Maintain strong control on portfolio quality by ensuring proper sourcing.
- Coordinate with operations for smooth disbursements and customer experience.
5. Market Intelligence
- Track competitor activities, pricing, policy changes, and market movements.
- Provide timely feedback to product and leadership teams.
- Identify new micro-markets and emerging customer needs.
6. Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain sales trackers, funnel MIS, DSA performance reports, and daily calls/visits log.
- Ensure complete adherence to company compliance, regulatory guidelines, and documentation standards.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of mortgage/secured loan products
- Excellent DSA/channel management skills
- Strong peoplemanagement and team leadership experience
- Good understanding of credit, legal, valuation, and property documentation
- Strong negotiation & relationshipbuilding abilities
- Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM & sales MIS
- High ownership and result-driven mindset
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/MBA preferred
- 5-10 years of secured loan sales experience
- At least 2 years of team handling experience
- Strong local market knowledge (Warangal & surrounding districts)
