About the position:
WOTR is looking for a motivated individual as a Livelihood Expert work.
Job Responsibilities :
- Provide overall thematic leadership and guidance on livelihood and allied activities to different project teams.
- Development and implementation of livelihoods assessment tools and approaches.
- Involve and assist in implementation of livelihood related projects and monitoring of the same.
- Providing active technical support to various livelihood and allied activities and responding to queries of the farmers/ project team being undertaken in different districts.
- Assist in data collection and analysis of various livelihood interventions studies.
- Liaison with government functionaries, government departments, Universities and KVKs.
- Provide capacity building and training to the community for livelihoods interventions.
- Support in livestock activities and preparation of development manuals.
- Prepare presentations and reports, produce written outputs of the implementation work and research outcomes.
- Document the best practices and maintaining database.
- Develop standards and systems for implementing livelihood approaches working with rural communities.
- Field visits to project implementation areas.
- Liaise with other NGOs, relevant Government agencies to ensure good coordination of effort and approaches for maximizing impact.
- Contribute to the research on livelihood component.
- Perform any other team responsibilities / duties as assigned from time to time.
- Will report to the RO/Cluster In-charge and Program Manager.
- Any other task assigned by the organization from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor or Masters in relevant subject
- Minimum 4-5 years relevant field experience
- Knowledge of Local Language .
- Experience in development sector would be added advantage
