Job Description

  • Lead strategy for commercial litigation, including recovery actions, contract disputes, injunctions, and matters under the Commercial Courts Act.
  • Draft and review core litigation documents such as plaints, written statements, interlocutory applications, and appeals.
  • Represent the company before regulatory and administrative bodies (e.g., CERC, GERC, PNGRB, NGT) and manage writs and SLPs challenging regulatory or government actions.
  • Coordinate and brief Senior Advocates and external law firms manage documentation and information flow for effective case preparation.
  • Attend court proceedings and provide strategic updates to senior legal leadership.
  • Drive disputeresolution strategies, including arbitration and mediation.
  • Maintain litigation MIS, track case progress, financial exposure, and prepare periodic reports and presentations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • An LLB degree from a reputed law school.
  • Experience in civil and commercial litigation, has done prior work in a reputed law firm's disputeresolution practice or an inhouse litigation team.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and drafting skills.
  • Highly diligent, able to work independently, and capable of managing multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills, resilience under pressure, and the ability to collaborate within a corporate framework.
