Job Description – Civil & Commercial Litigation
Position: Associate / Senior Associate
Location: Delhi / Mumbai
PQE: 5–7 Years

Role Overview
We are looking for experienced litigation lawyers to join the Civil & Commercial Litigation practice of a reputed law firm. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in handling complex civil and commercial disputes, with excellent drafting, research, court appearance and client management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle civil and commercial litigation matters from inception through final resolution.
- Draft pleadings, written statements, petitions, applications, legal notices, rejoinders and other court documents.
- Appear before High Courts, District Courts, Tribunals and other judicial/quasi-judicial forums.
- Conduct detailed legal research and assist in developing litigation strategy.
- Brief and coordinate with Senior Counsel and external advocates, wherever required.
- Review case records, prepare briefs, chronologies and arguments for hearings.
- Advise clients on litigation strategy, legal risks and potential outcomes.
- Independently manage day-to-day conduct of assigned matters.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams and provide regular matter updates.
- Monitor court proceedings, deadlines and case developments.
- Assist in settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, where applicable.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in Civil & Commercial Litigation.
- Experience with a reputed law firm is preferred.
- Strong drafting and legal research skills.
- Good understanding of civil and commercial laws and litigation procedures.
- Experience appearing before courts and tribunals.
- Strong communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
