Role Overview
We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients collaborating with a leading AI research organization on a large-scale AI training initiative focused on improving literary analysis, interpretive reasoning, and culturally grounded text understanding in advanced language models.
We are seeking experienced Literature Experts to create and evaluate high-quality literature-related prompts and responses.
This is a multilingual opportunity. We are specifically seeking experts who are fluent and deeply engaged in one or more of the following languages:
Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi.
Important: This role is not about translation ability alone. Candidates must have sustained engagement with literary study and discourse within their linguistic and cultural ecosystem
including familiarity with:
- Canonical and contemporary works
- Literary criticism and theory
- Genre traditions and narrative forms
- Culturally specific interpretive frameworks
- Historical and regional literary movements
This role is ideal for serious readers, literary critics, writers, educators, reviewers, or dedicated enthusiasts actively participating in literary communities within their language environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Author realistic prompts spanning textual analysis, thematic interpretation, genre comparison, author studies, narrative technique, and literary history
- Review and refine AI-generated responses for interpretive depth, textual accuracy, cultural nuance, and clarity
- Write high-quality gold standard responses for complex or open-ended literary questions
- Create controlled prompt variations testing differences in genre, historical period, authorial context, narrative perspective, and critical lenses
- Evaluate outputs across tones (academic, analytical, conversational)
- Identify model failure cases such as misinterpretation, superficial analysis, incorrect attribution, or culturally inconsistent readings
Ideal Qualifications
- At least 2 years of sustained engagement with literature through study, analysis, writing, teaching, or active community participation
- Active participation in literary discourse within at least one of the specified language ecosystems
- Strong familiarity with literary terminology, genre traditions, and culturally specific literary movements
- Ability to articulate nuanced textual analysis clearly and persuasively in the target language
- Strong written communication skills and thoughtful editorial judgment
Commitment
- Expected availability: 1040 hours per week
- Fully remote with flexible scheduling
