Job Summary

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator (L1) to support and maintain enterprise Linux infrastructure in a 24x7 production environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong Linux administration skills, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and knowledge of system monitoring, patching, storage, and networking fundamentals

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain Linux servers in production environments
• Perform routine system administration activities including user management, file system management, and service administration
• Monitor CPU, memory, disk, and network utilization and respond to infrastructure alerts
• Troubleshoot server performance issues and coordinate with internal teams for resolution
• Perform OS patching, package updates, and post-patch validation activities
• Support NFS file systems, storage mounts, and related troubleshooting
• Configure and maintain SSH and SFTP services
• Perform server health checks and preventive maintenance activities
• Analyze logs and assist in root cause identification for recurring issues
• Implement basic OS security hardening and follow security guidelines
• Maintain operational documentation and update support records
• Participate in shift-based operations and incident management activities
• Work closely with infrastructure, database, application, and network teams
• Basic administration and troubleshooting of Solaris 10/11 servers in production environments.
• Experience with Solaris file systems (UFS/ZFS), user management, patching, and performance monitoring.

• Experience with Oracle VM (OVM) or virtualization technologies
• Basic Shell Scripting knowledge
• Experience working in Banking or Financial Services environments
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing
• Exposure to Solaris 10/11 administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Solaris Zones, ZFS, and Unix system administration concepts.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 3–5 years of Linux Administration experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience working in production support environments
• Ability to work in a 24x7 shift model.
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Team player with a proactive approach to problem resolution
