Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Junior Linux Server Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining and optimizing our Linuxbased server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of our cuttingedge communication solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Server Management: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers to support our CPaaS and AI technologies.
Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor server performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal operation and uptime.
Security: Implement and maintain security best practices, including regular updates and patch management, to protect against vulnerabilities.
Backup and Recovery: Perform regular backups and develop recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Automation: Write and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
Support: Provide technical support and troubleshoot server-related issues, escalating to senior team members as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and developers to support deployment and integration activities. Qualifications:
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Linux server administration.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu). Experience with server installation tools- Docker, Containers
Monitoring and Management: Knowledge of monitoring tools i.e nagios, zabbix, promoteues, Managing uptime of systems
Scripting: Basic scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
Networking: Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). tcpdump
Security: Basic knowledge of security best practices and tools
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
