Position: Linux Kernel Device Driver Developer (PCIe) (BB25FT RM 4266)
Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Linux Kernel Device Driver Developer with 2–5 years of experience in Linux kernel programming and PCIe device driver development. The ideal candidate should have strong C/C++ programming skills and a solid understanding of Linux internals, PCIe architecture, and low-level system software development.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, debugging, and optimizing Linux kernel drivers for high-performance PCIe devices used in storage, networking, embedded systems, and virtualization platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Linux kernel device drivers.
- Develop and debug PCIe Endpoint and Root Complex drivers.
- Implement support for DMA, MSI/MSI-X interrupts, BAR mapping, and memory management.
- Debug kernel crashes, memory leaks, race conditions, and performance issues.
- Work closely with hardware, firmware, and application teams to bring up new platforms.
- Analyze PCIe protocol transactions using protocol analyzers and Linux debugging tools.
- Optimize driver performance for low latency and high throughput.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality coding standards.
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests.
- Create technical documentation for driver architecture and APIs.
Required Skills
Programming
- Strong programming skills in C (mandatory)
- Good knowledge of C++
- Familiarity with shell scripting (Bash)
- Experience with Git version control
Experience
- 2–5 years of hands-on Linux Kernel Device Driver development.
- Proven experience in PCIe device driver development.
- Experience in product development and hardware bring-up is highly desirable
