Position : LINUX & SAP Infrastructure Engineer (L2)

Budget (CTC) : 8 -15 LPA.

Experience : 3-6 years

Role Summary: We need a skilled Linux & SAP Infrastructure Engineer with hands-on experience in SUSE Linux / RHEL environments supporting SAP landscapes. The candidate will be responsible for Linux administration, SAP infrastructure support, high availability clustering, migrations, and troubleshooting in enterprise production environments.

Key Highlights:

× Hands-on Experience in physical infrastructure readiness, including server provisioning, storage integration, and OS preparation for SAP landscapes.

× Hands-on experience in preparing Linux environments for SAP deployments & executing multiple SAP infrastructure deployment projects.

× Strong hands-on experience in Linux Administration (SLES / RHEL) in enterprise environments.

× Experience supporting SAP NetWeaver applications and SAP HANA databases.

× Hands-on experience with SAP HANA System Replication and HANA database takeover procedures.

× Experience implementing High Availability solutions using Linux clustering (Pacemaker / Corosync / SUSE HA) for SAP workloads.

× Strong troubleshooting skills for Linux OS, SAP infrastructure, and cluster-related issues.

× Ability to coordinate with internal teams and OEM vendors (SAP, OS, Hardware, Storage) for issue resolution.

× Capability to perform incident analysis and provide detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical issues.

Migration & Transformation Experience:

× Experience executing hardware migration projects for SAP/Linux environments.

× Hands-on experience with platform migrations and infrastructure upgrades.

× Experience performing data migrations, including storage-to-storage and host-based migrations.

× Exposure to on-premises to cloud migrations and cloud to on-premises migrations.

× Ability to support infrastructure transformation projects with minimal downtime and proper planning.

ITIL & Operational Process:

× Experience working in environments following ITIL-based service management processes.

× Ability to handle Incident Management, Problem Management, & Change Management processes.

× Responsible for incident handling, troubleshooting, and RCA documentation.

× Participate in change implementation, maintenance activities, and production support operations.

× Ensure proper documentation, escalation management, and adherence to operational procedures.

Mandatory Skills:

× Strong experience in Linux Administration (SUSE Linux / RHEL)

× Hands-on experience supporting SAP NetWeaver environments

× Experience with SAP HANA database infrastructure

× Hands-on experience in SAP HANA System Replication and takeover procedures

× Experience configuring Linux High Availability clusters (Pacemaker / Corosync / SUSE HA)

× Experience working on multiple SAP infrastructure deployment or implementation projects

× Linux Certification (RHCSA / RHCE / SUSE Certified Administrator or equivalent)

× Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills Candidates with any of the following additional skills will be preferred -

× Experience with SAP infrastructure deployment and physical infrastructure setup

× Exposure to IBM Power Systems environments

× Basic knowledge of VIOS, AIX LPARs, and Linux LPARs

× Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, Trunking, LACP, DNS, NTP)

× Experience with enterprise backup and recovery tools

Experience:

• 3 – 6 years experience in Linux & SAP infrastructure support

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field.

• Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or SUSE Certified Administrator.
