Linux Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and implement RHEL 6/7 and CENTOS operating systems.
• Perform ACL configuration and implement firewall policies on Linux servers as per requirements.
• Upgrade RHEL OS and apply frequent patches to maintain security and performance.
• Monitor server logs, including syslogs and event logs, and take corrective actions for incidents/errors.
• Apply secured configurations on RHEL/CENTOS according to client requirements.
• Troubleshoot performance issues on Linux servers and execute system backups as needed.
• Coordinate with OEMs to resolve hardware/software issues.
• Utilize knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.
• Work with virtualization environments and manage Linux servers effectively.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Perl, or Python.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet or Chef.
• Willingness to work in 24*7 support and weekend shifts as per client needs.
• Knowledge of WebLogic and Apache is an added advantage.
