Job Description

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems (RHEL/Centos/Ubuntu) and related software.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of Linux-based infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions that meet business needs.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Automate system administrative tasks using scripting languages, such as Bash.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure proper system security and data integrity.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network services, including DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
  • Collaborate with software developers and system analysts to troubleshoot and resolve software compatibility issues on Linux platforms.
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to improve system performance and scalability.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience managing Linux (RHEL and derivate, Ubuntu) systems
  • 4+ years experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, OpenStack, or KVM
  • Proficient in Linux command-line interface (CLI) and shell scripting
  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN
  • Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures on Linux systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Optional Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Tacker / VNFD / STACK / HOT strongly desired
  • Strong understanding of server hardware and experience in server management
  • Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Puppet
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, such as Nagios or Zabbix
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Linux administration
  • Coding experience is helpful

QualificationsEducation and Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven work experience as a Linux Administrator or a similar role
  • Industry certifications, such as Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), are highly desired
  • ITIL certification preferred
