Linux & Database Administrator

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and related hardware.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure.
• Implement and manage system security measures, including firewalls, user access controls, and patch management.
• Automate routine tasks using shell scripting or other automation tools.
• Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures.
• Plan, execute, and oversee operating system upgrades to ensure compatibility and security.
• Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Configure and manage storage solutions, including RAID setups, SAN, and NAS.
• Implement and maintain system monitoring tools and proactively address potential issues.

Database Administration:

• Install, configure, and manage database servers (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Monitor database performance, implement tuning, and optimize queries for efficiency.
• Ensure data integrity and security by implementing proper access controls and encryption.
• Perform regular backups, restorations, and disaster recovery testing.
• Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades.
• Develop and implement database maintenance plans, including indexing, data purging, and performance tuning.
• Provide support for database replication and clustering to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Linux Administrator and Database Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
