Linux Administrator

Description

We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Linux environments and will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Linux servers and systems.
• Perform system monitoring and performance tuning.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Linux operating systems and software applications.
• Implement and manage security policies and user access controls.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Linux systems.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• Backup and restore data and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance on Linux environments.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Proficient in Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS).
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Perl) and automation tools.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Understanding of virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware).
• Knowledge of security best practices and system hardening techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
