Role Description The Line Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing daily production activities on the manufacturing line. This role includes planning and organizing line operations, allocating tasks, monitoring workflow, and ensuring adherence to production schedules and safety standards. The Line Supervisor will coordinate with team members to resolve operational issues, support training and onboarding of line staff, and maintain accurate production and shift records. The position is accountable for meeting quality targets by enforcing quality control and quality assurance procedures, conducting inspections, and supporting corrective actions. The Line Supervisor will also collaborate with maintenance, quality, and management teams to drive continuous improvement in efficiency, output, and workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills to lead production teams, manage shifts, and oversee daily line operations.
- Experience in quality control and quality assurance to maintain product standards and support zero-defect output.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and provide clear instructions to line staff.
- Ability to conduct training and coaching for new and existing team members on processes, safety, and quality requirements.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or forging environments, preferably in automotive or industrial components.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, production documentation, and basic problem-solving for operational issues.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, shift-based environment and maintain attention to detail under time constraints.
