Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced LIMS Administrator / SampleManager Consultant to manage, configure, and support Thermo Fisher SampleManager LIMS solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory informatics expertise, hands-on SampleManager configuration experience, and a solid understanding of laboratory workflows and data management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and maintain Thermo Fisher SampleManager LIMS.
- Gather and analyze business requirements from laboratory stakeholders.
- Design, implement, and customize workflows, forms, reports, and system configurations.
- Develop and maintain scripts, integrations, and custom functionalities within the LIMS environment.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and validation activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while ensuring system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with laboratory teams to optimize operational efficiency and data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
- Provide end-user training and ongoing support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Laboratory Informatics, LIMS Administration, Configuration, or Support.
- Hands-on experience with Thermo Fisher SampleManager LIMS.
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, sample lifecycle management, and data integrity principles.
- Experience with system configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages used in SampleManager, including:
- VGL
- C#
- .NET
- SQL
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional laboratory and IT teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or regulated laboratory environments.
- Knowledge of GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and laboratory compliance requirements.
- Experience with system integrations, APIs, and database management.
- Exposure to SDMS, ELN, or other laboratory informatics platforms.
