Job Description:
We are seeking a Lighting Designer / Architect who sees light not just as a technical requirement but as a powerful design element that shapes how spaces are experienced. In this role, you will be responsible for translating design intent into thoughtful lighting strategies that complement architectural and interior environments across diverse projects.
You will work alongside cross-functional teams to develop lighting plans that balance creativity,
technical feasibility, and project practicality. From conceptual planning to execution support, you will contribute to designing solutions that enhance spatial comfort, visual impact, and overall user
experience.
This position is best suited for individuals who enjoy exploring design possibilities, have a strong sense of detail, and are motivated to contribute ideas that elevate both design quality and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with architects, interior designers, electrical consultants, and other stakeholders to seamlessly integrate lighting solutions into overall project designs.
- Create detailed lighting layouts, fixture schedules, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD and similar tools.
- Perform lighting calculations and use tools like DIALux to produce simulations that align with design objectives.
- Integrate CleHaus's proprietary automation systems into lighting design schemes.
- Prepare lighting simulations, energy optimisation reports, and mood boards for presentations
- Conduct site visits for layout validation, mock-ups, installation coordination, and system commissioning
- Ensure lighting designs meet safety standards, sustainability benchmarks, and project budgets.
Required skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in architectural or lighting design projects; strong fresher profiles may also be considered.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, In Design)
- Strong aesthetic sense, technical detailing, and understanding of project workflows
- Good communication and client presentation skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging lighting and smart technologies
- Conduct scheduled site visits if applicable.
- Proficiency in Graphic designing is an added advantage.
