Role Description This part-time LIC Life Insurance Agent (Sales) role is based in Ahmedabad with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a combination of on-site client meetings and some work from home. The agent will identify prospective clients, explain LIC's insurance and pension products, and recommend suitable plans based on individual needs and financial goals. Daily responsibilities include generating leads, following up with prospects, completing policy documentation, and assisting clients with premium payments and policy servicing. The role requires maintaining ongoing customer relationships, providing post-sales support, and staying informed about LIC's latest products, features, and regulatory guidelines. Agents are expected to meet sales targets ethically while upholding LIC's standards of customer care and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Ability to drive Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage activities, including prospecting, need analysis, and closing policies.
  • Solid understanding of Insurance products and basic Finance concepts to explain benefits, returns, and risk protection clearly.
  • Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on building trust, handling queries, and providing ongoing policy support.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in simple terms.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, capable of working independently in a hybrid environment and managing flexible work hours.
  • Basic computer literacy for online policy applications, record-keeping, and digital communication.
  • Prior experience in sales, financial services, or insurance is an advantage but not mandatory; training may be provided.
  • Minimum educational qualification typically at the higher secondary level or as per LIC regulatory requirements.
