Role Description The LIC Insurance Agent role is a full-time, on-site position based in Vadodara. The agent is responsible for engaging with prospective and existing customers to understand their financial and protection needs, and recommending suitable LIC insurance products. Daily tasks include generating leads, conducting client meetings, explaining policy features and benefits, preparing proposals, and completing required documentation. The role also involves maintaining ongoing relationships with policyholders, providing after-sales service, assisting with renewals and claims-related queries, and coordinating with branch staff for policy issuance and servicing. Agents are expected to meet sales targets, participate in LIC training programs, and stay updated on product offerings and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in insurance domain knowledge, including Insurance and Insurance Brokerage, with an understanding of different policy types and regulatory basics.
- Proven skills in Insurance Sales, with the ability to identify prospects, present solutions, and close business ethically and consistently.
- Basic understanding of Finance, including savings, investments, and protection planning to advise customers on suitable products.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on active listening, clear communication, and long-term relationship building.
- Minimum educational qualification as per LIC and regulatory requirements (typically completion of secondary education or higher).
- Comfort working in the field within Vadodara and nearby areas, with the ability to manage schedules independently
