Job Description

The Librarian for School plays a vital role in fostering a love for reading and learning among students, contributing significantly to the educational environment. This position is essential for promoting literacy, supporting curriculum development, and enhancing students research skills. In This Role, You Will

  • Manage the library collection, including selection, acquisition, and organization of materials to meet diverse student needs.
  • Provide instruction on research skills and information literacy to students, empowering them to become independent learners.
  • Assist students and staff in locating and utilizing library resources effectively, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Evaluate and assess library programs and services to ensure they align with educational goals and student interests.
  • Organize events and activities that promote literacy and a love for reading, such as book fairs and author visits.
  • Stay current with trends in library science and education to continuously improve library services and resources.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to enhance library offerings and engage students beyond the school.
