Job Description

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating financial/derivative contracts and related documents across multiple jurisdictions (India, Asia, Japan, EMEA, US).
  • Handling various agreement types including prime brokerage agreements and master agreements (ISDA, GMRA).
  • Managing multiple negotiations simultaneously and responding to agreement-related queries.
  • Liaising with business stakeholders and corporate divisions to obtain approvals on risks and deviations.
  • Identifying and highlighting legal risks, and coordinating with external law firms.
  • Providing commercially aware legal advice based on thorough legal research.
  • Staying updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advising business and legal teams on agreement-related inquiries.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, regional lawyers, and business partners globally.

Qualification:

Mandatory:

  • Qualified Law graduate with at least an LLB degree.
  • 2-5 years of demonstrable experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of financial/derivative contracts and related documentation.
  • Excellent analytical and legal skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Good team player.

  • Maturity in dealing with senior stakeholders.
  • Well-organized in data and record management.
  • Excellent command of the English language and strong presentation skills.
