We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Lab Administrator / Level 2 Support professional to manage our cloud-based learning environments, ensure seamless lab operations, and provide technical support for students, faculty, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lab Administration & Technical Support
- Manage, configure, and maintain cloud-based coding labs and development environments.
- Provision, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ensure lab environments are stable, secure, and available before every class or workshop.
- Diagnose and resolve Level 2 technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, development environments, networking, and user access.
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, patching, and system health checks.
- Support live classes by providing timely technical assistance and minimizing downtime.
- Monitor platform performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact users.
Automation & Infrastructure
- Develop Python scripts to automate provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and routine administrative tasks.
- Work with Docker containers and development workflows to maintain consistent lab environments.
- Manage source code and configuration using Git and version control best practices.
- Assist in improving operational efficiency through automation and process improvements.
Communication & Stakeholder Coordination
- Provide proactive updates on lab readiness, maintenance activities, incidents, and release schedules.
- Ensure faculty, students, and internal stakeholders are informed about planned changes, outages, and expected resolution timelines.
- Gather technical requirements from instructors and translate them into fully functional lab environments.
- Maintain clear technical documentation, knowledge base articles, SOPs, and status reports.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones, including regular overlap with U.S. working hours.
- Remain responsive during live classes and scheduled troubleshooting windows.
- Escalate technical issues proactively while managing stakeholder expectations until resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong Python scripting skills for automation and infrastructure management.
- Experience with Docker, Git, and modern software development workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud-based IDEs and learning platforms such as Codio, VS Code, GitHub Codespaces, or Jupyter.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting educational institutions, coding bootcamps, or online learning platforms.
- Linux system administration experience.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Experience with cloud cost monitoring and optimization.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
