Job Overview
The Company is seeking an experienced Level 2 IT Support Engineer to support the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and day-to-day operation of enterprise server, network, virtualization, and IT infrastructure environments.
The successful candidate will provide Level 2 technical support, maintain critical infrastructure systems, support warehouse and business applications, participate in infrastructure projects, and provide guidance to Level 1 IT support personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Server & Systems Administration
- Provide administration and operational support for enterprise servers and related infrastructure.
- Support Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other business-critical applications.
- Administer and maintain systems across platforms including AIX, Linux, Red Hat Linux and Windows Server.
- Monitor system availability, capacity, performance, and operational health.
- Review system performance and capacity trends and recommend improvements where required.
- Support High Availability (HA) environments to maintain business-critical system availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 server, system, application, and infrastructure incidents.
Virtualization & Backup
- Administer and support virtualization environments, including VMware and vCenter.
- Support virtual machine provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and support backup and recovery solutions such as Veeam.
- Develop and maintain procedures for system backup, recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Support Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, testing, and operational readiness.
Network Infrastructure Support
- Support enterprise LAN and WAN environments.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot:RoutersNetwork switchesFirewallsWi-Fi controllersWireless access points
- Support network connectivity across offices, operational environments, and data centres.
- Assist with network performance and connectivity troubleshooting.
Infrastructure Planning & Implementation
- Support system sizing and preparation of technical specifications for infrastructure refresh and replacement.
- Perform server and infrastructure installation, setup, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Support technology refresh and infrastructure upgrade activities.
- Participate in data centre and infrastructure implementation activities.
- Manage or support new IT infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
Cybersecurity, Compliance & Audit
- Support implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies and controls.
- Perform system hardening and support infrastructure security requirements.
- Support IT compliance activities and internal/external IT audits.
- Maintain appropriate system documentation and operational procedures.
- Assist with remediation activities arising from security reviews and audits.
IT Operations & Team Support
- Provide Level 2 escalation support for complex end-user and infrastructure-related incidents.
- Guide and support Level 1 IT Support Engineers where required.
- Work closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Support day-to-day IT operations to maintain system stability and service availability.
- Participate in incident investigation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Perform other IT infrastructure and operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1.5 years of relevant experience as a Level 2 IT Support Engineer, System Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:AIXLinux / Red Hat LinuxWindows ServerVMwarevCenterVeeam
- Experience and knowledge in server virtualization.
- Experience supporting server hardware and enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge of network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi controllers, and access points.
- Understanding of system backup, recovery, monitoring, and Disaster Recovery concepts.
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of an IT team.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge or hands-on exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) will be advantageous.
- Experience supporting Warehouse Management Systems or similar operational applications.
- Experience with High Availability environments.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, system hardening, IT compliance, and audit requirements.
- Experience supporting data centre infrastructure.
- Experience participating in infrastructure migration, refresh, or implementation projects.
Employment Details
Position: Level 2 IT Support Engineer
Location: Singapore - West
Working Days: Monday to Friday, 5 days per week
Working Hours: 8:15 AM to 5:30 PM
