Legal Specialist / Responsible AI Program Manager
Role Summary
We are hiring a Legal Specialist and Responsible AI Program Manager to support the design, implementation, and tracking of Randstad's global AI governance program. This hybrid role provides actionable legal advice regarding the EU AI Act and manages key cross-functional compliance deliverables to ensure AI is utilized ethically and lawfully across our global organization.
1. Geographic & Working Conditions
- Primary Location: Budapest, Hungary or Hyderabad, India
- Local Search Anchor: Hybrid presence is required
- Time Zone Specificity: This role operates on Central European Time (CET) business hours. Candidates must have the eligibility to work full-time in Hungary.
- Team Alignment: You will frequently collaborate with the core Responsible AI team based in Diemen, The Netherlands, as well as international stakeholders across diverse global markets.

Important Note on Role Differentiation: > This is a Legal Advice, Regulatory Compliance, and Program Management role. It is NOT a technical software engineering, data science, or AI development role. You will be bridging the gap between legal frameworks (like the EU AI Act) and corporate business strategies.

What Will You Achieve
- Support AI Governance: Help design and implement Randstad's responsible AI program, heavily informed by the EU AI Act and its evolving legislative deadlines.
- Deliver Actionable Legal Advice: Act as a key point of contact to deep-dive into specific areas of AI law, translating complex regulations into clear guidance for IT, security, data protection, and business teams.
- Drive Program Milestones: Plan, track, and guard deadlines for all global responsible AI deliverables in close partnership with the Global Responsible AI Officer.
- Assess AI Systems: Support hands-on risk and compliance assessments of new and existing AI use cases across Randstad's global businesses.
- Raise Awareness: Develop corporate policies, build targeted training materials, and deliver presentations to elevate the profile of ethical AI practices worldwide.
What Do You Need to Succeed
- Education: A law degree is highly desired. A degree in public administration, public affairs, or public policy combined with relevant work experience will also be fully considered.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of prior professional work experience in a related field.
- Legal Expertise: Excellent, proven working knowledge of EU digital law is a must-have. Specific domain knowledge of the EU AI Act is a major forte. Supplemental knowledge in IT law or corporate compliance is a strong asset.
- Project & Program Management: Proven ability to manage high-impact corporate programs, stay organized, keep stakeholders informed, and respect strict deadlines.
- Soft Skills: Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) , a collaborative mindset to navigate an international environment , and the capability to break down complex issues into clear solutions.
