Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal support for daily operations and assigned projects, including legal research, drafting, proofreading, and contract execution.
- Conduct training sessions for sales teams in ASEAN and India on Purchase Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and other relevant contracts to enhance their understanding of potential legal risks.
- Proactively manage legal issues with external firms, including disputes, litigation, and regulatory matters impacting business operations.
- Facilitate compliance training on anti-corruption, anti-fraud, anti-cartel issues, conflicts of interest, and whistleblowing, while reviewing and updating training materials as necessary.
- Oversee the whistleblowing system, acting as the primary contact and supporting investigations related to reports of misconduct.
- Review and update internal compliance-related rules and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze changes in legal frameworks and regulations within ASEAN and India, distributing key updates to affiliates.
- Assist with external audits concerning legal compliance.
- Enhance the efficiency of contract review processes and offer guidance and training to junior legal staff as needed.
Requirements
- Degree in Law, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of legal experience in law firms or in-house legal departments.
- Proven experience in providing advice on information security matters.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a challenging environment.
- Willingness to travel within the ASEAN and India regions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactively contributes as a team player with a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with legal nuances affecting both traditional and emerging business sectors is advantageous.
