What you'll do :

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to support assigned business verticals and functional teams by providing timely, practical, and business-focused legal guidance. This role will act as the first point of contact for all legal matters, with primary ownership of reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial and non-commercial contracts, partnerships, and key business initiatives.
The position will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure legal compliance, mitigate risks, and enable smooth business operations while aligning with the organization's governance and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day legal support, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
- Lead negotiations on non-standard contracts and escalate material deviations or novel issues to the Senior Legal Counsel/ Head of Legal.
- Provide proactive, business-centric legal advice to stakeholders, finance, and operations teams.
- Apply approved templates, playbooks, and decision frameworks to ensure speed and consistency.
- Identify and manage operational legal risks while flagging emerging risk themes and recurring issues.
- Support dispute management, claims assessment, and pre-litigation settlements under the guidance of the Senior Legal Counsel/ Head of Legal.
- Ensure adherence to defined turnaround times (TATs), prioritization frameworks, and quality benchmarks.
- Flag non-standard terms, risk deviations, and execution issues for escalation to Senior Legal Counsel or the Head of Legal.
What you'll need:
- Between 3-8 years PQE with significant experience in core corporate, commercial, IP & contracts experience ( For eg, dealing with MSAs, supply agreements, lease agreements, influencer engagements, working through playbook, adept at using CLMs, etc.).
- Preferably with e-commerce and retail or banking experience.
- A proven track record at a top law firm and/or in a dynamic in-house legal environment. Ideally, with experience in both environments. Regional experience of UAE, KSA and /or Egypt would be an additional advantage.
