Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior Associate/Assistant Manager to support the Legal team across a broad range of legal and commercial matters. The role will provide exposure to contract drafting and review, legal research, corporate and general commercial matters, and day-to-day legal advisory support to internal stakeholders.
The role would suit a legal generalist with strong drafting and research skills, an ability to work independently on routine matters, and an interest in working across different areas of corporate and commercial law.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, NDAs, technology agreements, service agreements, leave and license agreements, lease agreements, vendor agreements, and other legal documentation
- Support the Legal team in providing day-to-day legal advice to internal business and functional teams
- Conduct legal research and analysis on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and general legal matters
- Support the preparation and review of legal notices, letters, memoranda, and other legal correspondence
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify and mitigate legal and contractual risks
- Support the Legal team on disputes, regulatory, and process-related initiatives
- Maintain and organize legal documentation, trackers, and contract records
- Coordinate with external counsel and other advisors, where required
- Provide general support to the Legal team on project-based and ad hoc legal matters.
Key Requirements
- 4-7 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house legal team
- Strong foundation in commercial and corporate law
- Good experience in drafting and review
- Ability to independently conduct legal research and prepare concise legal analyses
- Exposure to a broad range of general corporate and commercial legal matters
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify legal and commercial risks
- Good drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively in a fast-paced, project-based environment
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the wider Legal team.
