Job Summary

The position assists in the implementation of technology solutions throughout the legal department. The role participates in project management involving cross-functional teams, and requires the ongoing exercise of independent discretion, legal and business judgment, strategic thinking, and ingenuity with respect to complex and nuanced issues. The position will work with internal business groups to assess, collaborate on design, recommend and implement internal business process changes to maximize efficiencies and limit manual interventions through the use of procedure redesigns and automated processes as necessary. The Legal Operations Analyst will also be responsible for maintaining and updating the internal Intranet and team sites, reporting on site use and effectiveness and updating design to drive traffic to the site. There will also be responsibility to provide technical guidance to team members across the department on department specific technologies.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of business processes across the department and the ability to recommend process changes, procedure redesign, etc. as needed to support Legal & Compliance teams.

Duties

Essential Duties/Responsibilites

  • Maintains the Company's legal operations processes, including developing reports and dashboards to monitor contracts, leases, litigation, IP, operating authority, compliance and regulatory, and the legal and compliance budget
  • Creates tools for tracking team initiatives and project goals
  • Assists in the technology improvement process
  • Compiles data to analyze trends, exceptions, or issues to present solution based resolutions to leadership
  • As directed, lead and coordinate data gathering through process mapping, flow-charting, and team meetings to document and understand business goals and processes to inform effectiveness of current workflows.
  • Analyze identified processes and workflows to perform benchmark gap analyses
  • Utilize existing technology to implement identified process improvements.
  • With the support of leadership, organize cross functional groups across departments to work collaboratively toward the effective and efficient pursuit of pre-determined goals
  • Recommend and implement automation of workflows
  • Monitor process performance in order to provide continuous enhancements and further efficiencies of business processes.
  • With the support of leadership, prioritize projects to ensure timely completion of deliverables and maximize departmental impacts
  • Prepare process documentation, work instructions and other tools to support execution
  • With the support of leadership, coordinate the implementation and deployment of new and enhanced systems
  • With the support of leadership, develop a framework for process analytics and monitor analytics to assess level of impact and use outcomes to prioritize projects
  • Maintain and update the internal Intranet and team sites, reporting on site use and effectiveness and updating design to drive traffic to the site
  • Provide appropriate technology support and act as a liaison between internal department and IT to facilitate timely resolution to issues or needs
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion.

Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceprefe rred

Work Experience


  • Typically 4 to 6 years Bachelor's degree desired; or a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience or related work experience.
  • Experience in business analysis/change management Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to identify improvements
  • Experience delivering cross functional projects

  • Sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Office products required
  • Knowledge of Legal Tracker and other legal administration technologies
  • Familiarity with general technology terms,
  • Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
