Senior Legal Counsel


Your role and responsibilities

As a Legal Operations & Technological Innovation Specialist, you will drive operational excellence through technology-enabled transformation within the Legal & Integrity function. You will help translate the legal & Integrity strategy into actions by operationalizing initiatives through smart use of AI, data driven insights and disciplined project delivery, working closely with the senior leadership. You will enable the design and implementation of legal workflows using Microsoft 365 tools, optimize internal processes through continuous improvement, and monitor outside counsel management.

As a technical expert and project leader, you will champion automation solutions, ensure quality assurance for technology implementations, and leverage data analytics to enhance legal operations performance. Your expertise in SharePoint, CoPilot agent building and Power Automate is key to modernize the legal department's infrastructure while ensuring seamless execution of cross-functional initiatives aligned with business objectives.

This role is contributing to the ABB Robotics in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Design and implement legal workflows and automation solutions using Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Power Automate, CoPilot, Teams, Forms) to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end legal operations projects, focusing on process improvement, modernization initiatives, and technology implementation across the legal department.
  • Manage outside counsel relationships, ensuring compliance with firm standards, quality delivery, and cost optimization.
  • Build and deploy SharePoint sites, integrate Power Automate workflows, and support legal matter management, document control, and automated intake systems.
  • Ensure contracts, templates, playbooks, and guidance are structured, updated, and aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and leverage data analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI) to track KPIs, provide insights, and drive continuous improvement in legal operations.

Qualifications for the role
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree in IT, Business, Finance, Engineering or equivalent experience strategic management consulting or in-house strategy background is a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience in corporate operations with demonstrated expertise in process improvement and technology implementation experience in legal operations or administration is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite including SharePoint (site design, administration, metadata management), Power Automate (workflow automation), CoPilot agent building, Teams, Forms, and Power Apps exposure to Salesforce is a plus
  • Data management and analytics skills including proficiency with SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and ability to handle complex structured datasets for reporting
  • Expertise in project and programme management, including Lean Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English additional European languages are an advantage.
