Job Description Manager / Assistant Manager (Legal)
Job Overview:
Manager / Assistant Manager Legal to oversee various aspects of the company's legal operations. The role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, conducting legal research, supporting litigation processes, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate will combine strong legal acumen with practical business understanding, helping the organization translate legal requirements into actionable strategies. This role will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to safeguard the company's legal and commercial interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and provide inputs on agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on statutes, regulations, and judicial precedents.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes and assist in formulating internal policies to ensure compliance.
- Support the Legal Head in managing ongoing or potential litigation, including evidence compilation, coordination with external counsel, and maintaining case-related documentation.
- Provide day-to-day legal guidance to internal teams to ensure compliant business operations.
- Prepare legal reports, summaries, and recommendations for management decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Education: LLB / LLM
- Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience in corporate legal affairs
- Registration: Mandatory registration with the Bar Council
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial laws
- Good drafting skills and basic court appearance experience
- Excellent legal research and analytical capabilities
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
