Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Legal Manager role based in Lucknow, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Legal Manager will oversee day-to-day legal operations, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, financing documents, and other legal agreements related to the company's NBFC and EV financing activities. The role will involve advising business teams on legal risks, structuring transactions in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and supporting new product launches from a legal and regulatory perspective. The Legal Manager will coordinate with external counsel as needed, manage legal notices and disputes, and maintain organized records of legal documents and approvals. The position will also require monitoring regulatory developments affecting NBFCs and EV financing, updating internal policies and frameworks, and conducting training or guidance sessions for internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of Law and regulatory frameworks applicable to NBFCs and financial services.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting and reviewing contracts, financing agreements, and policy documents.
- Experience in Legal Consulting, providing clear, business-focused legal advice to cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on expertise in Legal Compliance, including monitoring regulatory changes, ensuring adherence to RBI and relevant sectoral guidelines, and supporting internal audits.
- Capability to manage Legal Affairs such as disputes, notices, external counsel coordination, and documentation management.
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) is required; an advanced degree (LLM) or specialization in corporate or financial law is an advantage.
- Previous experience in an NBFC, banking, fintech, or financial services environment is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi is an added benefit.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple matters, and operate effectively in a fast-growing, dynamic organization.
